It's hard to be Zen when dealing with banks
I went to the bank today with my lovely friend Kathy who used to own Tamarind Trading with me but is pursuing her training business now. We are trying to set up a new facility so that I can trade online and have a mobile banking facility under the new business name. Given we have had a similar facility for two years, you would think it would be easy. No, it wasn't. Because I am now a sole trader, there was a set up fee for this and another for that, and fees here, there and anywhere. Quoting the smiling clerk on the other side of the table "oh no, we can't waive that fee - those are the rules". Loyalty seems to have no rewards when you are dealing with a bank, but that's how they make so much profit! Needless to say, I said I would need to shop around for the best deal, but I have this awful feeling that they are all going to be the same.
