Having purchased my domain name and everything else I need to start a website, I am left with the daunting task of actually designing, creating and managing the site myself. Of course once I start making a significant income I may decide to have it designed professionally, however in the meantime and in the interests of getting things going ASAP I am giving a crack at doing it myself. First I tried one of the templates from Enetica, they were all very corporate, and none of them really suited a fair trade jewellery and homewares business. In fact the best template looked like a vintage 1980's corporate prospectus - totally inappropriate!
I always find that when in doubt Youtube has all the answers, and tonight it came through again with the perfect video on how to create a website. Anyway first step was to downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver CS5. Tomorrow I will see what I can do myself. Interesting times ahead....
